Dr. Ryan Apgar is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in general, pediatric, and surgical dermatologic care for patients of all ages. In addition to seeing patients in our Kailua Pali Palms and Medical Arts locations, he also serves as a staff dermatologist at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu. His formal education and training include:

Dr. Apgar has contributed to numerous dermatology publications, presented at professional conferences and educational symposiums, and received multiple academic honors throughout his medical training. He served as chief resident during his dermatology residency and was awarded the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence while in medical school.
Known for his patient-centered approach, Dr. Apgar is committed to making high-quality dermatologic care as accessible as possible, including offering evening clinic hours to better accommodate patients’ schedules.
Outside of work, Dr. Apgar enjoys spending time with his family and cheering on his favorite New England sports teams—a passion rooted in his upbringing in the Boston, Massachusetts, area.
